Have a wonderful Spring Break! Our students have worked hard to finish quarter 3 strong, and I know they are ready for some rest. Enjoy every moment!
Read-In Day was really fun! All students were encouraged to go home with some books to read over the break.
I had the privilege of watching of few of our UIL performances this week and they were fantastic! Our students also did a great job in the district academic UIL competition. It is fun watching these students being so focused and motivated while doing something they love. We have some new trophies to display!
Our annual technology survey closes at midnight tonight. Thank you for helping us get this done!
Quarter 3 grades will be posted to HAC on March 19th by the end of the day.
Spring Break is March 9-13.
Have a great week!

Attendance Credit Election
We want to make you aware of an important election taking place on May 2 called an “attendance credit election.” Basically, this ballot item asks McKinney residents to vote “for” or “against” the method MISD uses to make mandatory payments to the state under a law commonly referred to as the Robin Hood law. If the measure passes, MISD will be authorized to continue making its mandatory payments using the most cost-effective method, known as “purchasing attendance credits” — the method that it has used since 2014-15. If the measure does not pass, the state will be authorized to detach $2.3 billion of taxable McKinney property and send that tax revenue to another district. That detachment of property could likely be permanent and in the coming years would impact MISD programs.
We encourage you to read more about this important ballot measure by visiting www.mckinneyisd.net/election — and please vote on May 2.

Snack Shack
Students LOVE the snack shack, and I love that our PTO is committed to opening it each week. Our SNACK SHACK is always in need of volunteers. It is a fast and fun way to be involved. Thanks for all the support.
Lunch for Students
Due to a variety of safety concerns related to food allergies and campus safety and security, McKinney ISD does not allow students to utilize food delivery services at school. This includes services such as Uber Eats, Doordash and direct restaurant delivery. However, parents/guardians will still be permitted to drop food off for their children.
This rule does not apply to deliveries organized by McKinney ISD faculty or a teacher serving as a sponsor of a student organization. We appreciate your cooperation in our efforts to create a safe and secure environment for students.
Parents may only deliver food for your own child. We can't accept group deliveries.
