Mitchem's Memo

1/31/2016

Celebrate what we do!

Lincoln has exciting things happening every day! This past week alone we had 4 students recognized for their work at the District 200 Reflections Ceremony, 5th graders participate in a battery of experiments with the Children's Museum, intermediate grade level students compete in the Battle of the Books, and over 35 Lincoln boys participate in the Pinewood Derby! (FYI...there was a "Lincoln School" car entered this year)

I encourage all of you to take pictures and celebrate these things! Take pictures of activities in your classroom, on field trips, events outside of school, of student work, or anywhere else that would celebrate what wonderful things take place at or around Lincoln!

ACCESS Testing Update

Scheduled ACCESS testing has been completed! Any make-ups or testing for new students (should we have a new move-in) can still take place while the window is open. Lindsey, Sarita and Lynda will work with individual teachers if testing needs to take place.

Thank you to our ELL Team for organizing and conducting all of the testing. This year was unique as it was the first year for on-line testing. Great job!!

Assessments:

  • FnP Testing is currently in progress. Please remind students to be respectful in the hallway as testing may be taking place during the day.
  • PARCC window is April 4-April 29. I anticipate our window being April 11-22. This window will include scheduled testing and any make-up testing that may be needed. Please keep this window in mind for planning purposes.
