New Location and Website
The Statesboro office of the Center for Teaching Excellence has a new home on the second floor of Cone Hall.
On the Armstrong campus, you can still find us in Solms 211.

The new CTE website provides an overview of services and opportunities offered on Georgia Southern's three campuses in support of all faculty and instructional staff.
The CTE supports faculty with research-based pedagogical and technological resources for designing, implementing, assessing, and researching effective and innovative instructional strategies as well as learning technologies that foster academic excellence. Keep up with our Events and Programs throughout the semester or brush up on your technology skills using our website.

August Events
Registration deadline is August 17.
The TOC Program certifies faculty to deliver and design online courses at GSU. The program consists of three parts: a seven-week online workshop, a four-week course development practicum, and two face-to-face technical training workshops. The estimated time commitment is 36 hours.

Saundra McGuire will visit Georgia Southern this fall and speak to faculty on October 17 in the Ogeechee Theatre-Armstrong Campus, from 12:00-1:30 PM. The presentation will be live-streamed to the Statesboro and Liberty campuses. Register here to attend the presentation.

SoTL Commons Conference
Submission deadline is September 17, 2018.
Conference dates: January 24-25, 2019 on the historic Savannah Riverfront at the Hyatt Regency, Savannah.
Since 2007, the SoTL Commons Conference has been hosted in historic downtown Savannah, Georgia by the Georgia Southern University Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE).
The SoTL Commons is an international conference on the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning with an intimate feel - listen to high quality presentations from nationally and internationally recognized speakers and join in conversations with a community of scholars from around the world.
