THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS........

After we return from Spring Break we have 29 days of school left!!!! Last day of school is May 26th!

Family Literacy Night Was a Success

Over three hundred people enjoyed a fun-filled evening with their children attending our second Family Literacy Night. Students and their families were treated to a light supper of hot dogs, chips, cookies, and water bottles in addition to a variety of literacy-based activities. Families were able to play Bingo for a Book in our cafeteria. An interactive Wordle game was offered in our music room, while a Monet arts and crafts activity was provided in our art room. Two storybook trails in each of our hallways provided interactive tasks for both students and parents. Prior to literacy night, each classroom worked on author-themed projects that would be on display for students to share with family members. At the conclusion of the event, our PTO-sponsored gift baskets were awarded to three students who participated in all stations!

April Word of the Month CITIZENSHIP

Big picture
Each day, we review our word of the month and our social worker and teachers reinforce it through a variety of lessons! It has been a joy to see our students apply our words within our school day as well as in their personal lives.

Our citizenship quotes:

"A citizen's responsibility is to contribute to their communities and country."

"Citizenship is the chance to make a difference to the place we call home."

"No matter how young you are, it's never too early to start being a good citizen."
