Preschool and Science
Science in preschool? You bet!
Students in Ms. Julia's CECC class enjoyed several different science lessons last week that were both educational and yummy!
Students participated in a STEM lesson as they used toothpicks and jellybeans to build nests and shelters for their Peeps.
Students also predicted, experimented, and explained what happened when they put Peeps in different substances and climates.

Seniors Skip to Serve
As our seniors are nearing the end of their time as a student in our district, they took a day to give back to the community who has supported them through the years.
On Tuesday, April 16th, 100 seniors participated in the 4th annual Skip2Serve event. Skip2Serve is a day dedicated to serving others and giving back to the community. Seniors spent their morning at 17 different service sites and then spent the afternoon at the Benson Center taking part in fun activities.
Thank you to all of the volunteers, organizations, and businesses who help make this yearly Bright Futures event, such a huge success.

Job Shadowing Experience
For more than two decades, students at Clinton Technical School have been participating in Job Shadowing.
Through this experience, students are matched with a business or organization that relates to a career path they are interested in. By spending time with this employer, students are able to gain a better understanding of what a job in that field entails. This experience allows students to decide which career path is the best fit for them.
This year, over 100 students participated in the event, this includes students from Clinton High School as well as Clinton Technical School's eight other sending schools.

Mini MASH Camp
Thanks to Henry Elementary School's Bright Futures partner, Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare, for welcoming 120 Cardinals for the 3rd annual Mini MASH Camp!
2nd grade students rotated through 6 different stations as they learned about CPR, the composition of their blood, microscopes, bones and more. Students then had the opportunity to tour the hospital's ambulances.
Thank you GVMH for providing this fun and educational field trip right here in our hometown!

Legacy Tree
What do you want your legacy to be?
Students and staff members at Clinton Middle School pondered this question recently as they created felt birds for their school's Legacy Tree. Each bird contained a message describing what legacy students and staff members want to leave behind.
Thank you to CMS art teacher, Mrs. Bishop, for organizing this activity for students and staff.
Career Exploration at CIS
Third graders at Clinton Intermediate School enjoyed exploring careers during "Career Day" last week.
Students had the opportunity to hear from Henry County 911, KCP&L, an Agronomist and a Missouri Conservation Agent.
