Congratulations to Cheryl and Theresa!! Quite a Feather in the Cap
Their proposal, “The Teaching Power of the Morning Message” has been accepted!
In selecting the proposals, the committee attempts to balance sessions by topic, age group, strand, relevance, and thematic connection. The selection procedure included several readings of each proposal through a two-tiered process.
They received over 160 proposals, and all were reviewed by at least five readers.
Thanks Beth!
She applied for Think! Energy with Consumers Energy. They come to Turrill at no cost to us and do a presentation on energy. Students receive a free package of materials, as do classroom teachers.
I have heard from other schools that the program is awesome and the materals have value (lightbulbs, shower heads in the past.)
They want to do two presentations...so, we can split up the group however you want. They will let us know the dates available soon.
and Congratulations Beth!
Congratulations! The Quick Grant Beth wrote to the Michigan Humanities Council has been awarded funding!!
