Letter From The CEO:

Was 2020 a complete loss? I’ll go out on a limb and say no. While this past year has definitely been a struggle for many of us, both individually and as a community, I want to take a moment to remember some of the things we accomplished at the library this past year.

  • We started video-streaming services through Kanopy.
  • We made digital magazines and newspapers from around the world available through RB Digital.
  • We started a podcast for the community.
  • We read and discussed books on tough topics together.
  • We kept your public library services available during a global pandemic.

There’s much more that came out of this year, but we’re not just celebrating our successes, we’re looking ahead to 2021. Here’s what we’re committed to doing for you this coming year.

  • We’ll work on providing you with the physical spaces this growing community needs. It’s exciting!
  • We’ll bring in speakers and presenters to help teach the skills you need as soon as we’re able to do so.
  • We’ll ramp our Summer Reading Initiative back up beginning in May.
  • We’ll continue our Compelling Issues book discussions and other ways to tackle the complex problems we’re facing together.

And much, much more.

We’re grateful you let us serve you during 2020, and we’re looking forward to everything 2021 has to bring. Happy New Year to all of you!

Amie P.

Library CEO
