Bath Math with Ms. Diaz

If you'd like more support in Math, Ms. Diaz, during the pandemic, created a series of videos for the school year! Every TEK, Unit, strategy and more is within those videos! There is vocabulary, essential questions, sentence stems, anchor charts, etc. Feel free to subscribe and revisit when your child needs a little help! Caveat: these videos were recorded a year or two ago so she talks to those kiddos at the time in her greetings, but everything else is still relevant!

Week 4 Updates: 9/9

Happy Friday Families!

This week flew by! Thank you all for your continued support and know that we are extremely grateful to be on your team. These kiddos are awesome. Please take the time to read the following, add dates to your calendar and use the link below to sign up for a variety of events happening throughout the year.

Updates:

  • Reading Logs: Encourage your child to read or watch TV shows in Spanish with subtitles to get those minutes! Another week of minutes counted and the excitement amongst the classes is palpable.

  • Back to School Night: Back to School Night is Tuesday, September 20th. Mark your calendars! More information to come!

  • Parent Teacher Conferences: Parent Teacher Conferences are on the week of September 26th- September 3oth! We will have a sign up ready for you next week, but just wanted to let you know so you can have it on your radar. :)

  • Class Events Spreadsheet: There is a spreadsheet that has been created for each 4th grade class. Room parents are in charge of making sure we are keeping it updated, messaging out when the time comes for an event, reminding the volunteers who sign up of their task and connecting with the teacher to ensure the events throughout the year are covered by the community. The spreadsheet contains tabs with semster green garden sign up, monthly snack bin restock, monthly door decoration sign ups, field trip chaperone spots, Publishing Party snack sign ups and Holiday party sign ups. We are thrilled to have a streamlined way of giving all parents a way to connect or help out at some point in the year if possible. You can find your class sign up below. Please sign up for only 1 or 2 to give others an opportunity to do the same. Thank you.

  • First Field Trip: Our first field trip of the year is coming up on Wednesday, September 21st to the Bob Bullock Museum. We have paid for 4 parent chaperones in each homeroom class to come along with us, but anyone else is welcome to join in their vehicle and pay for themselves too. If you’d like to take one of the paid chaperone spots, ride the bus and be in charge of 4-5 kiddos in the museum, please reach out to your class room parent and fill out the spreadsheet or communicate with your HR teacher. First come, first serve.

    • PS: all field trips have their allotted paid spaces for chaperones, but anyone is always welcome to join us in their own vehicle and pay for themselves.

Content we are getting into next week:

  • ELA: Realistic Fiction and Personal Narratives

  • SLA: Texto informativo. Puntuación.

  • Science: Matter- Density and Volume
