Holy Cross Catholic School guides each student in developing academic, emotional and physical excellence while spreading the Gospel message as Jesus did, since 1868.

In Galatians 6:2, the apostle Paul knew there would be times when we would need help, and as a fellowship of believers, we can fulfill God’s great plan by being there to help carry one another’s burdens.
If helping others was important enough for Paul to mention to the early church, why do we struggle with it today? Why is it so hard to ask for help? I, for one, like being the helper. I love serving and giving, but when it comes to seeking help in my time of need, I hesitate. I feel like I’m being a burden and reaching out may be uncomfortable. We may feel vulnerable putting our needs out there. But when we do, we are giving others the opportunity to give and receive a blessing.
If you need help today, I pray God will bring to mind someone you can reach out to. May God give us the courage to move past our apprehension and ask for help.
Let’s pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father,
There are times in life when we feel overwhelmed. Times when we think we should be able to handle everything on our own and times when we’ve chosen not to ask for help. Forgive us, Lord, for not reaching out. Help us to see the blessing that comes with asking for help.
Lord, you also promise to bless those who give. Thank you for teaching us how important it is to ask for help. Bring to mind someone we can reach out to— a friend, family member, neighbor, or someone from church. Thank you for the blessings we receive when we help, serve, and give.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

We are experiencing a profound need for substitute teachers!
Do you possess a bachelor’s degree? Then you may be qualified to support our school through substitute teaching! A teaching degree is NOT required!
By substituting you can:
Generate income with flexible hours you can choose! You can come and go with your children!
Choose your buildings and types of classrooms: Your comfort and convenience are important to us! Do you only want to sub here? No problem! Open to other GRACE schools? We can include other sites that work for you!
Sneak a hug in the hallway or have a quick lunch or recess with your student! Experience the joy on your child’s face when he/she sees you in the hallway unexpectedly!
Lesson plans and support are always provided! Please share this message with relatives or friends who may be interested. A special person to consider may be a retired grandparent who would enjoy visiting the school once a month or so! Lastly, please keep our school and staff in your prayers while we continue to navigate this extraordinary time of staff shortages. Thank you!
