Pastry chef's are people who have a desire to bake, who are creative to make new pastries and are hard workers. They have to pay close attention to details and they have to have a culinary experience. They need to be able to interact with different people and have great communication skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages junior kitchen staff
- Keeps kitchen clean and organized
- Preparing budgets and ordering supplies
- Supervise apprentices and teach their work
- Maintaining inventory
- Preparing menu's and budgets
- Developing and testing new pastries
- Matching desserts to complement menu courses
- Decorating and plating
- Producing baked goods
