Weekly Learning & Agenda

This week we are finishing Unit 5 Geology. The students have learned so much. They have learned about the layers the Earth, the rocks that build the Earth, and all about the plates that move around on the Earths surface causing mountain building, volcanoes, hotspot island building, and so much more.

Agenda -

Monday we reviewed the Rock Cycle with an interactive hands on activity. Then we finished a graphic organizer on plate boundaries. --- Homework: None

Tuesday we are working the Review Sheet through a Group Work. (I have attached a copy of the review sheet for anyone to use.) --- Homework: is to start studying for the Checkpoint test on Thursday.

Wednesday: Review Activity --- Homework: Study for the Test

Thursday: Unit Checkpoint Test.

Friday: No School --- Bad Weather Make Up Day

Lantern Run - Fundraiser Benefitting LMS & Powell

Friday, April 8th, 7-10pm

701 West Eldorado Parkway

Little Elm, TX

Luminate Events LLC, Lakeside Middle School, and the Colin Powell 6th Grade Center will put on a quality fun, family-friendly 5K evening run at Little Elm Park. Main elements and themes of the run will include glow gear, non-lit handmade Lanterns for participants, running shirts, and music and snacks for the after-party. Proceeds and fundraising will be benefitting Lakeside Middle School and the Coin Powell 6th Grade Center.
