Behavioral Learning Guide
A little over a week ago, you and your teachers received a draft of the 2016-2017 Behavioral Learning Guide. I hope that you and your faculty have had some time to read through the document. Please encourage your faculty and staff to provide feedback on the BLG by May 6, 2016. The following are ways to submit feedback. A special thank you to the administrators and teachers who created these documents! We appreciate the work that you did.

- Leave comments on the District’s webpage under Consent Order>Public Comments
- Provide written or oral comments to your school’s Behavioral Learning Guide teacher liaison
- Hand deliver comments to the front desk of the Merts Center, 200 White Street, Huntsville, AL 35801
- Send comments by regular mail to Merts Center, Behavioral Learning Dept., 200 White Street, Huntsville, AL 35801
- Leave written comments in your school’s Behavioral Learning Guide comment drop box
- Participate in the Teacher Town Hall scheduled for 4:00 pm on May 2, 2016 at the Academy for Academics and Arts auditorium

To-Do List/Reminders
- Add evidence to your PLP in Lead Alabama. The goal is to add a minimum of one entry per month. I will begin adding my comments to your PLP the end of this month to wrap everything up for the 2015-2016 school year.
- Please add the Home Language Survey information to the Teacher End of Year Checklist. Ann Marie should be sending you some information.
- Elementary Principals: Please adhere to the report card timeline that Steven Miller sent to you last week. I also forwarded the information to you.
- Please make sure a counselor and teacher is signed up to attend the Dyslexia Awareness training on June 1 or June 2. This is a half day training.
- High School Principals: Please send Christie the names of your ELA and Math teachers who will be teaching the ACT Prep class during the 2016-2017 school year - due May 15; remember to include a period for SGA on the master schedule.
- High school principals: Please remember to entitle the course "Leadership." Beth Keller will send you a course number;
- Make sure you are adhering to the EDUCATE Alabama evaluation timeline for your teachers. Please submit the EA End of Year Forms to Tammy and Debbie by May 23, 2016.
- Summer Feeding Breakfast and Lunch - Lee, Providence, Rolling Hills, and Williams Elementary. There are additional sites but these are the ones that I work with. Breakfast @ elementary - 7:30 - 8:30 a.m.; Breakfast @ high schools - 7:30 - 9:30 a.m.; Lunch - 11:00 - 1:00 p.m.
- Send Marcie your 2016-2017 School Supply Lists by April 29, 2016
- Have class rolls and master schedules completed and submitted to DOI by June 3, 2016
