Primary Literacy & Communication
Hartlepool Centre of Excellence in Teaching/Learning - 14/04
Free seminar focused on ensuring progress in literacy across the primary curriculum
Overview:
Award-winning educational consultant David Andrews will present an innovative teaching approach using digital technology, designed to ensure the very best outcomes for all pupils – including the most disengaged learners. His session will consider the very best practices in the development and use of spoken and written language - including metacognitive approaches and formative assessment.
David will draw on a combination of best classroom practice, educational theory and robust research evidence to inspire and inform colleagues. He will draw upon his experience teaching thousands of pupils in schools across the UK, as well as years of collaborative practice with numerous schools nationwide. David’s session will help colleagues to consider key approaches such as interpretation and reflection strategies, which develop 'transferable skills’ and support lifelong learning.
All delegates who sign up for the twilight session will receive free “creative spoken language and writing” resources for EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
