Golf Success in State Tournament
Mars Hill golfers Ike Alexander and Hannah Pope turned in outstanding performances in the AHSAA Alabama State golf tournament May 9 & 10th. The tournament was held at the Hampton Cove RTJ course in Huntsville. Alexander, a junior, claimed medalist honors in the Class 1A-2A boys competition. Alexander is the third Mars Hill boy to be crowned State Champion in golf and the first to do so since 2002. Alexander shot a two day total of 138 winning by a 9 shot margin. His 138 was the second best score regardless of classification (1A-7A). Pope, a sophomore, finished in 2nd place in the girls 1A-3A competition. Pope is the first Mars Hill girl to ever represent the school in the state tournament. Congratulations to Ike Alexander and Hannah Pope.

Thank You from the Hendersons
We want to say thank you to everyone for your support this year. At its best, it was an extremely difficult year for our family, but all the thoughtfulness that was shown to us helped make the year easier. The kind words, encouragement, prayers, patience, understanding, hugs, and smiles will never be forgotten. Macie was especially grateful for the tree and gift basket sent by her sixth grade class. We feel truly blessed to be at Mars Hill and to call all of you our family. May God bless all of you.
Love,
The Mark Henderson Family
