Principal Update
3/31/23
Dear LP Families,
Happy Friday!
Yesterday, we took the entire school to the Museum of Play to kick off our One School One Book initiative. It was so wonderful to see our students, staff, and family members having fun. As a principal, it reminded me of my blessings and how lucky I am to be in a community that prioritizes our children and their school experience. A huge thank you to our One School One Book committee for organizing this event. Mrs. Costello secured all the funding to make this possible- thank you! Finally, a huge thank you to our families for chaperoning and making sure the kids had fun but were safe. You are the best!
Please see below as I tried to upload as many pictures as I could. The smiles are priceless!
Next week we do not have school in honor of spring break week (4/3-4/7). Happy Easter to all who celebrate- blessings to you and your family!
With Gratitude,
Dr. Bello

Also, special thanks to Eric Trumpowsky, Dave Savine, Kathy Miller, and Faith Konstantinidis for leading our students and developing their musical talents. We are lucky to have you!

One more time!
Capital Improvements Projects Are Underway!
For now though, one of our projects needs to start early if we are to finish on time. Our gymnasium will be receiving a new air handling unit. In order to do this work, we have to partition off half of the gym. To start, we will focus on the right side of the gym. This work will begin over February break and will take several weeks. Once the right side is complete, construction will move to the left side of the gym.
What does this mean for our students and you?!
Students will only use the left side of the gym for now. We are hoping for some great weather so we can get students outside as much as possible!
Pick-up and Drop-off changes: The location of the gym door students enter is the only thing that will need to change for this procedure. Instead of driving up to the current gym door on the right side of the gym, we will have you continue forward (towards Norton St.) until you get to the second gym door, located on the left side of the building. We will have signs and staff to help with this transition. This change will take effect Monday, February 27th. We appreciate your flexibility as we navigate this new construction.
