In This Issue: Celebrations and Reminders!
What wonderful colleagues we have here at Glens Falls.
Let's celebrate them:
Kudos to the KRS first grade who met for an hour after school to talk about balanced literacy with a focus on interactive read aloud. We jumped right in with both feet and worked together in classrooms to implement this specific balanced literacy component.
Hooray for Kristin O’Connor and Shannon Fox who opened their rooms and changed plans and moved their kids so that the tech department could try and work out document camera kinks on the new TVs.
A big thanks to Jolene Walajtys for offering her leadership and expertise to help a new teacher long after the school day ended.
Can we get a BRAVO for Mara Fronhofer who worked hard writing lessons for a new kindergarten drawing curriculum and SHARED it with all her colleagues.
Wahoo for new teachers, Emily Gugliotta and Elizabeth Thompson who were hired in the last week of August and have worked round the clock and opened their classrooms to instructional coaches so that their students could reap the benefits of a prepared teacher.
