If I stay
The story, If I Stay is about a 17 year old girl named Mia as she deals with a tragic accident involving her family. As her broken body is extracted from the wreck, she is rushed to the hospital, and worked on by doctors, Mia hovers between life and death in a coma. She finds herself out of body, and be able to walk invisibly through the hospital and listen in on to her family, friends, doctors, and nurses. Mia watches as friends and family gather at the hospital where she is being treated. As her memories flash before her eyes she comes to realize that she must decide if she is to wake up and lead a life far more difficult than she ever knew, or to slip away and die.

The story, really, is quite simple. A girl named Mia and her family get into a car crash, Mia barely survives, is taken to ICU and friends and family surround her with love and affection and hope she gets better. While this is going on, Mia is having some sort of out-of-body experience where she witnesses everything that’s going on the hospital. Mia as a main character felt pretty lifeless to me. I thought that there was no rising action, no climax, and the resolution was obvious from page 1. There were some parts that were really sad but the book overall was okay to me.
