Writing Using Minecraft

This would certainly motivate some of our Minecraft-obsessed students!

Tracking Data & Exit Slips

The Teaching Thief blog - There are free printables and many great ideas on this site. If you do not use exit slips, this is an easy way to check for understanding. There is also a great way to keep track of reading groups on the same link. Enjoy!

Watch the video below for a fun way to announce a snow day. The families would be very surprised!

Please and Thank You are Still Magic Words.....

Thank you to Michelle for organizing and administering LAS Links and creating the NWEA schedule. This is a big task in addition to her already full schedule.

Thank you to Gretchen and Michelle for going outside in the mornings regularly and voluntarily to assist with car rider arrival. Thank you to Alisha Perez for joining in on the arrival duty. I know it is cold outside and I am very appreciative!

Thank you to Kim for coming in early on the delay days to answer the phone when needed.

Thank you to Sam and our custodial and building staff for shoveling, salting, and making sure the sidewalks and parking lots are safe for our students, families, and staff members.

Thank you to EVERYONE for being flexible during this crazy season! We will remember this year forever, and the students will talk about it when they are older. "Remember when we had all those days off? It snowed nonstop and we never went to school..." I can just hear it now!
