Hornet Gear
Every Friday we deliver a food pack to students in need. This pack consists of various meals, fruit, and drinks to help families throughout the weekend. We call it their Hornet Gear.
Hornet Gear will be in my office every Friday. I put a name tag that the students leave behind so that I can reuse it. You are more than welcomed to come get Hornet Gear yourself or send students down. During state assessments I distribute it because I have to keep the office locked. If you forget to send students down or pick up Hornet Gear, no worries :) I will call you (I was that teacher, so I get it).
Guidance Lessons
You can help me tremendously with a few helpful things.
- Have your projector on for me and ready for me. You can be signed in because I use my google drive. It makes it a little easier on me AND you. If you have your lesson on the board, I can just leave it up and log on through google.
- Have sound hooked up. I use a lot of videos for my lessons. I hate to waste the kids' time by trying to figure out how to get sound back on.
- Make sure students have a pencil. We do activities that require writing and reflecting.
- I will bring items such as crayons for the upper level classes. I know they don't always have access to those items quickly.
- Let me know ahead of time if you are having technology trouble (projector not working/sound not working). I can adjust my lesson that way.
I know it is difficult having me in your classrooms during your planning. My office is ALWAYS open to you. It is nice and quiet. :) Your time is precious.
Student Referral
They are more than welcomed to use a sheet of notebook paper if they do not have the form. I am not picky!
