CALLING ON ALL VETERANS!!!!!!

Do you know a local veteran? The 7th grade social studies teachers need your help!

This year, we are inviting Lexington County veterans (or those that are actively serving) to our campus to interview about their lives, service, and the choice they made to serve/help others. We plan to preserve the veteran stories and feature them in a magazine and documentary designed by the students. This will be a wonderful experience not only to help our students grow into effective communicators, but also to preserve the history of their bravery and service to our country. We ask that anyone that knows of a local veteran that would like to be interviewed by our students to please fill out the google form link https://goo.gl/forms/vvUvNk1qgpo6mOU43. Thank you!

Dear families,

Thank you for joining us to learn more about, “Philadelphia and New York City Tour.” I’m excited to see that there is so much interest in this opportunity, and we already have a great group enrolled. I know it will be an amazing experience for everyone involved! At this time, please visit my Tour Website for more information about the itinerary, pricing, and links to enroll: CLICK HERE.

I spoke with our tour agent and received answers to the questions from last night.

  1. Students will need between $10-15 for lunch each day.
  2. The ideal departure date is now APRIL 8th so the window for departure is now April 6- 10. We will go BEOFRE spring break!!
  3. There is NO limit to the number of students and parents wishing to travel. We will fill up one tour motor coach and then add another motor coach and tour director. They have had as many as 300 on a trip.
  4. We can fly out of Columbia not Charlotte. The additional fee is $70. I have asked that we fly out of Columbia.
  5. The hotels we will stay in are 3-4 Star Hotels such as Best Western, Double Tree, and Holiday Inn.

For those of you who could not attend, you are still eligible to attend the trip. You can watch the video of the presentation from last night's meeting by clicking here.
