why we hang stockings at Christmas
A Christmas tradition, like the hanging of the stockings, began when a man lost his wife to a painful death. Sinter Klaus saw that the man could no longer care for his kids. so one night Sinter Klaus put little bags of gold near the chimney to save the daughters from prostitution. one of the bags of gold was in a stocking near the chimney. One night the family caught Sinter Klaus, who is the real man of Santa clause, leaving the presents and told them not to tell, but the rumor got out of Sinter Klauses great deed. so now the tradition of hanging the stockings is all because of Sinter Klauses great deed to help out the children.
