The Magic Falls
Once upon a time, on mount Olympus there was a huge drought. In a forest on mount Olympus there was no rain for months. It did not look like any rain was coming either.
All of the animals started to get sick, because there was no water. With no water there is no food. The goddess of wild animals ,Lucyona, knew that she had to do something, so she traveled to the forest to help the sick, and find water for the animals.e When Lucyona got there she was at once that she had to get water. All of the streams were dust pools. They could not get water out of that. She searched for water in the forest, but there was no water to be found in the forest, so she went to a nearby town to get water.
When she got to the nearest town there was no water there either. Everyone said that there had not been rain there either. She had to tell the animals the bad news.
Lucyona had a weird talent. She could talk to animals. She had been born with this talent. The animals did not have to talk to her though.
After a mile walk back to the forest she told the animals that bad news. “There is no water in the town either,” Lucyona said sadly. That was the end of hope for some, but the deer protested. They said, “We should keep trying. There has to be water out there somewhere!”
Deer knew more than other animals. They only know more though, because they searched for answers. Lucyona knew that the deer would look for water more. They know special parts for the forest.
Lucyona went on a hike to find water with one of the deer. His name is Sam. They both looked high and low for water. Then they saw it. It was a huge waterfall! The water looked very pure. When they walked up to the waterfall to get a drink, a nymph walked in front of them. The nymph said, “This is my waterfall. You can not get water unless you prove yourself worthy. So answer this question. What god is the god of lighting?” “Easy, Zeus,” Lucyona said confidently. “That is right, now you and all of the creatures can drink out of this pool,” The nymph said.
From that time on all of the animals were happy and healthy. That nymph was a hero, because Lucyona decided that he needed some friends, and told the animals that the nymph found the water. The End
