Internship for Change Award
Application deadline: Sunday 5 May
The main purpose of the internship should be to bring about 'positive change' to an organisation, cause, others or yourself. The host organisation must be 'not-for-profit', ie voluntary, charitable or a social enterprise and can be overseas - this is to encourage participation by students who are not catered for by the typical internships offered by commercial or large public organisations.
The internship must contribute to 'graduate' level work. It should be project based with defined tasks and definite outcomes. This will ensure the student is better placed to pursue their career options after graduation, both in terms of their work understanding as well as in demonstrable, relevant experience.

Save the Date! The Careers Centre in North America.
The Careers Centre will be crossing North America this summer and we would love to see you for our annual Industry Insiders events in the following places:
Vancouver, BC - Tuesday, July 23rd
New York City, NY - Thursday, July 25th
Chicago, IL - Monday, July 29th
More information coming soon.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We offer an Internship Experience Certificate to recognise students who have undertaken professional level work experience for a minimum of four weeks through a structured programme in any industry or organisation, anywhere in the world. To qualify, you’ll have to give evidence of how you’ve developed your career seeking and employability skills.
You need to submit a work experience case study. Your case study will be reviewed by a member of the Careers Centre who will arrange for the Internship Experience Certificate to appear on your academic transcript, provided your case study meets an acceptable standard.
Your case study should be between 700-1,000 words. You should answer the questions as fully as possible. Although optional, providing a picture of yourself will make your case study more engaging to the reader. Have a look at a variety of case studies on our website.
When an employer/organisation requests formal support from the university for a future internship, the Careers Centre can provide students with the necessary support documentation, eg Convention de Stage, supporting letters.
By accepting formal support documentation from the university, you enter into an agreement with the Careers Centre to provide us with a suitable case study for our website once you have completed your internship.
