EOC Testing Information
May EOC testing will take place on the following dates. Student who are currently taking the scheduled course will test on the day listed. If a student has already taken the course but not yet met standard on the corresponding EOC exam, they will also test on the day listed.
EOC Exam Spring 2022 Test Date
Algebra I Tuesday, May 3, 2022
Biology Wednesday, May 4, 2022
US History Thursday, May 5, 2022
For students who are eligible to test but have not yet achieved "Approaches Grade Level," "Meets Grade Level," or "Masters Grade Level" on English I, English II, Algebra, Biology or US History STAAR EOC will be automatically enrolled in April and May STAAR testing. (Note: A student is considered "eligible to test" if they have taken an assessment and not yet passed, if they have completed the course and haven't yet tested, were absent for testing during the school year, or went home ill during testing and were unable to complete the test.)
Students who are enrolled in MCHS will automatically be enrolled for state testing and assigned a testing room.
Students not testing will attend their regular classes. If your teacher is involved with testing, you will go to the practice gym for a study hall that period. Attendance will be taken.
Parents of ALL STUDENTS, please do not schedule appointments during the testing window. We do not want students to rush through to finish the test that is required for graduation because they have an appointment.
Students will not be permitted to leave their testing room after they have finished their test so that they are not disturbing the other testers.
Thank you for respecting this guideline. Our first priority is always the safety of our students. Our attendance clerks are busy each period on testing dates accounting for each and every student on campus and we need to keep them focused on that task. Thank you so much for understanding and making allowances.
Testing Room Assignments
Testing room assignments will be given during advisory on Friday 4/29/22 and Monday 5/2/22 and posted in the hallways by the stairs on the main campus and by the library on Monday 5/2/22.
Students need to bring the following items to each test
- Student ID
- A book to read when they are finished testing (a novel, NOT a textbook or any other instructional materials)
Bell Schedule
MCHS will follow an adjusted schedule May 3rd-5th.
- Testers will be in their testing room through 4th period, lunch will be 5th period, and they will return to normal classes for 6th and 7th periods. Attendance will be taken.
- Non-testers will follow their regular schedule.
- Students whose teacher is involved in testing that period are to report to the practice gym for a study hall that period. Attendance will be taken.
- Students whose teacher usually meets in one of the testing rooms, but is NOT involved with testing that day, will go to a different room for class. Room changes are listed throughout the building. Please be in contact with each of your teachers to know your location for each testing day. Attendance will be taken.
- There will be NO advisory during the day on May 3rd, 4th, and 5th. Non testers will follow adjusted class times for 1st-3rd periods, then return to normal bell schedule 4th – 7th periods.
Students who attend Miller CTC
If you are scheduled to take an EOC test, you WILL NOT go to Miller first. You will come to MCHS. Miller knows that you are coming to your home campus to test. If you are NOT scheduled to take an EOC test, you will follow the alternate bell schedule. Miller knows the updated bell schedule.
