Mears Honors Veterans Everywhere

Yesterday, November 10, Mears Middle School hosted its 25th annual Veteran's Day Assembly. The entire student body was present for the event, which featured special guest speaker, Lt. Colonel Brian Ross, USMC, who served as an officer for 21 years, including active tours of service abroad. The assembly included a video tribute to veterans, musical performance by Mears Advanced Band, along with a slide show of over 100 veterans who are relatives of Mears students and staff. Indeed, the event was a moving tribute to all those who serve our communities and nation in the armed forces. Special thanks to Mr. Greg Ross, Ms. Leslie Hannam, Mr. Jason Edwards, and Mr. Josh Perry for their leadership and all their work to plan and organize this special event. Mears honors, with gratitude, all those who serve. Go Panthers! --Eric

World Kindness Day

November marks the month that we celebrate World Kindness Day. Kindness is encouraged every day at Mears however November 13th is the official day when the power of kindness is celebrated globally. The Mears Bee Kind series (episode 3 on giving) is an excellent example of how we can go above and beyond to be kind to others.
