Last week was Parent-Teacher Conferences. It was wonderful seeing so many families in the building. We appreciated you taking the time to sit with us and learn about the work your child is doing in school and how to best support them.


Thank you PTA (and all parents) for the dinner that you provided us Thursday Night. It was delicious and most kind.

Monster Mash

The PTA Monster Mash is approaching rapidly. It will be here before you know it. Join us on THIS Friday, November 2 for a fun night of music, dancing and food, plus:

-glow in the dark face painting

-free photo booth

-balloon artist

-cotton candy maker

with terrific Auction Items.

  • When your child is going to be absent from school, as much as the teacher appreciates you letting him/her know, the information needs to get to our main office. Please leave a message on the absence line or include Mrs. Petrovich (petrovichl@newtown.k12.ct.us) on your email to the teacher. Thank You!
  • Wednesday, October 31 (Halloween), have your child wear Orange and Black for "Spirit " Day!

PTA Book Fair

What a terrific week, always a wonderful celebration of Literacy. Thank you PTA and all parent volunteers that helped out, and to Mrs. Carlson for her assistance during library class helping students find and best choose books.

Pumpkin Carving!!!

What a fun-filled family night of Pumpkin Carving. It was so enjoyable to see the smiles and hear the laughs of family and friends spending time together doing an old school activity. What memories. Thank you Hawley Fathers Club.
