Dr. T, Heather Thompson, Suicide Awareness Training
Heather Thompson is doing a great job of getting into schools and classrooms! She has a "menu" of roles she can play in your classroom! Take a look at the link below and choose "NPS Instructional Collaboration Menu." She offers everything from being another set of hands in the classroom to co-teaching to simply "lending an ear" for you!

Suicide Awareness Training is Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 3:30pm in the Grant Library. If you cannot make it that day, there are many other trainings you could attend, including Sept. 27 at Jefferson, Oct. 1 at the Middle School, Oct. 4 at Westside, or Oct. 11 at Bel-Air.
I HAVE LOVED READING THESE!
Thanks for Wednesday's PLC
I plan on getting the post it notes either today or tomorrow after school! Can't wait to see how quickly that hot-air balloon fills up!
On Monday, Heather will be in the building to discuss MAP scores and data. I have a meeting at 1:00pm but hope to join her, Kathy, and Julie to talk about 3rd and 4th grade MAP scores. I believe Heather was going to contact Dani and Gretchen for a time to meet and discuss the scores with them, too.
Keep taking pictures (and 10-15 second videos will be awesome, too!) for our Montessori video. It's surprising how many pictures and how much video you need to create a 5-minute finished product!
Be on the lookout for more information about our trip to Millard. We will discuss it in detail during our Oct. 17 PLC. Be thinking about what you'd like to see and what questions you'd like to ask!
Objective Module Due Tuesday, Sept. 25
1. Reflect on the John Hattie video and respond to another's reflection.
2. Share an objective you've used already (it says take a picture, but it's fine with me if you just write it!)
3. Answer the question about writing students friendly objectives.
Invite me to your ClassDojo!
1. to familiarize myself with what the program looks like and can do.
2. to like and post comments on student work.
I have access to Jill's, Gretchen's, and Julie's classrooms. I'd like to see Kathy's and Dani's too. Can you two send me an invite? I think that's how I got into the others' classrooms.
Also, there is a way for me to put out a "whole school" picture, video, or story. (Can any of you do that?) Let me know if/when there's something that we could post there!
