A Message from the Principal
Hello Indian Trail Families!
Indian Trail Intermediate School is being recognized in the inaugural US News & World Report rankings of the Top Middle Schools in Tennessee. Out of the 535 middle schools included in the rankings, Indian Trail ranked 42!
US News & World Report: According to the data used by the US News & World Report, 59 percent of Indian Trail students scored at or above the proficient level for math, while 45 percent scored at or above that level for reading. The student-teacher ratio is 17:1. At Indian Trail, 52 percent of students are economically disadvantaged, while the school has 33.8 percent of minority enrollment. Also, 92 percent of the teachers at Indian Trail have three years or more of teaching experience. In other words, all the top-ranked schools are high achieving and have succeeded at educating all their students.
Congratulations to our entire Indian Trail community!!! School climate has always been a top priority at our school. Our faculty and staff make sure our students are engaged in the classroom, have a safe environment to work in, and feel loved and welcomed each and every day. All of these factors positively impact student test scores and daily attendance. Indian Trail is a great place to be!!!
Thanks!
James Jacobs
