Indian vegetarian cooking with Ranjana Bhagarva

In honor of Asian/Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we bring you Indian vegetarian cooking with Ranjana Bhagarva. Ms. Bhagarva will demonstrate how to incorporate Indian spices and vegetables in every day meals. She will also talk about personal and cultural experiences in and of India, including wholesome street foods. The tasting menu will include: samosas, masala chai, bhel puri, coriander chutney, tamarind chutney, and halwa. (Please be advised that the food samples may contain allergenic ingredients.)

Meet Ranjana Bhargava

With her energy, creativity and exuberent spirit, Ranjana Bhargava has taught authentic vegetarian cooking classes to the Chicago community for over 30 years. Her classes range from quck simple menus that use what is available in the kitchen to innovative fusion and special occasion meals. She has taught over a thousand students through her multi-class series, private and custom-designed classes and specialty demonstrations.
