GA MILESTONES TUTORING AND BOOT CAMP DATES AND TIMES!

Mrs. Mallet (the other 6th grade ELA teacher) and I are offering tutoring sessions for the GA Milestones Testing on the following dates:

Common Core Standards Covered This Week:

CCSSRL.6.4: Determine the meaning of unknown words and phrases as they are used in a text, including figurative and connotative meanings.

a. Use context as a clue to a meaning of a word or phrase.

b. use common, grade-appropriate Greek or Latin affixes and roots as clues to the meaning of a word.

c. Consult reference materials to find the pronunciation of a word.

CCSSRL.6.5: Demonstrate an understanding of figurative language, word relationships, and nuances in word meanings.

a. Interpret figures of speech in context.
