1. What years were you in middle school?
My mom was in 7th and 8th grade in the years 1995-1996
2. What kinds of music, movies, and fashions were popular at the time?
Music: Hip-Hop and R&B
Movies: Pocahontas ( her favorite movie at the time ), Brave Heart, Clueless
Fashions: Baggy jeans, gold jewelry, and jean jackets

3. What were your favorite activities in middle school? What were your hobbies and interests?
My mom says, " Being part of the dance club. And my hobbies and interests were hanging with fiends, dancing, reading, and modeling."
4. What job/interests/activities do you have now? Is there a connection between what you like back then and what you enjoy today?
My mom exclaims " I am a Program administrative assistant for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ocean State. My interest now are reading, and helping people better themselves. And yes there is a connection."
5. What was the best part about being in middle school?
My mom said " I really enjoyed the classes and really liked learning."
6. What was the worst part?
she says " The kids would be mean to other kids ( not me ), and the kids would worry about other things besides education."
7. How would you explain your middle school self?
Popular, smart, and respectful my mom says.
8. What advice about growing up would you give to kids my age?
My mom exclaims " Be yourself, and don't try to be someone else your not just because thats what is in and focus on whats important in life to you and stay with a positive aditude always."
9. What did you like to do after school?
" I used to ride my bike and play kickball with friends." my mom said.
