This Week At SHOJ
March 26, 2021
From Mrs. Rhodes
It is hard to believe we are nearing the end of March and Lent. I pray that you all have a blessed Holy Week. Just a reminder, that Thursday, April 1 is 11:30 dismissal. I know the parish requires sign ups for Masses for Easter, please check their website for information on all the Holy Week services.
We had a great kindergarten round up last Monday, but if someone missed that, it is not too late to enroll. As we plan for the next school year, the teachers are also letting me know about their plans. Change is never easy but we know that everyone is trying to follow God's will for their lives. Join me in wishing the following well as they move on to other adventures: Mrs. Annalise Tinker, Miss Maggie Boone and Mrs. Katie Nelson. Each one will be missed and it will be hard to replace them, but we know that they have been a blessing to SHOJ and that we are better because they shared their talents and gifts with our school. We are also planning on Mrs. Meidinger to move to middle school to teach 6th grade reading and writing. All the ELA teachers will have time to support the teachers and students in middle school to meat their learning needs. The music position has been filled with Mrs. Cindy Reynolds and we are interviewing for the two classroom positions. Spring is a busy time to celebrate the 2020-2021 school year and to plan for a great 2021-2022 year. Thanks for all you do to support the staff and school, we are blessed with the best community!

From Nurse Mary
No New cases nor quarantines this week!
Thanks for monitoring symptoms closely and doing all you do to keep our school healthy. Please remember with your spring break adventures, that the virus is still out there and very contagious. If you find that you have been exposed or start showing symptoms, the guidance is still in tact: isolate yourself if you have symptoms, quarantine if you have been exposed, and test if necessary. Don't hesitate to reach out to me if you need help walking through your details.

Student Auction Baskets
Believe it or not, it is time for planning one of Sacred Heart’s biggest fundraisers, the Brown Bottle Dinner and Auction. It will be held virtually on Saturday, April 17, 2021. The gift baskets are a huge hit every year, thanks to your generous donations. Our goal is always to make the baskets bigger and better every year. Each grade is assigned a theme. You are invited to purchase items (big or small) based on your child’s grade level/theme and send them to school.

· First – Boys and/or girls sleepover
· Second – Gift Cards
· Third – Kansas City Sports (Chiefs, Royals and Sporting KC)
