Pay rank is what you are paid as at the end of the month. I am a Star Stylist but last month I was PAID as a Senior Stylist b/c I did not hit the qualifications to be paid as a Star.
Career Rank is the title you hold for six months. When you promote you have six months to hit that career rank again before losing your title. You have to hit the qualifications for your career rank each month to be paid as this career but you only have to hit these qualifications once every 6 months to keep your career title. But...why would you want to do that??? Your goal should always be to hit your career rank! If you do not hit it again in the 6 months your title bumps down to the career rank below.
Tid bits from other Stylists
Wendy Ayer ~ Creating mini rewards as you shoot for a big goal is motivating to propel you along to your BIG rewards when you hit your goal.
Samantha Ballard ~ When finding prospectives...Be genuine, make connections, focus on them, let them know what the opportunity could do for them. Don't take anything personally in this business.
Mindi Marshall ~ If you only start a conversation with hosting then you have no where to go when they say no. Talk about the opportunity FIRST, then on to hosting!!
Time Management
Here are some great tips I took from Melly Bonita and Kim Jones.
Melly ~ Your time is valuable! Are you being effective with your work hours? Set time for working hours and stick to them! During this time turn do not get on social media, do not take personal calls or texts. Do not try to multi task by picking up or loading the dishwasher or starting a load of laundry. When your work hours are over...WALK AWAY!!!!
Kim ~ Talk to your family about the expectations of what it will take to have your business in regards to working hours and amount of trunk Shows. Figure out in your daily life what is important to you that you don't want to sacrifice, what you can let go of, and what you can outsource. When you are trying to do it all you will feel like a C student...doing lots but not doing it well. Here is Kim's weekly schedule for working hours. Just a visual for you to see and create your own if you want...
Monday: Personal Business
Tuesday: Team business and coaching day
Wednesday: Wandering day...lunch, out and about with lookbooks and jewels on.
Thursday: Team day again
Friday: Whatever you need to catch up on
Sat-Sun: family days
Hoopla Part 4 Final Thoughts
Do you have to devote all your time to it??? No!!!! By setting some working hours and sticking to them you will find your business moving forward...not staying stagnant. You will find you are earning a Style Fix, promotion bonuses, maybe the VIP Consistency club charm...you will be moving! I highly encourage you to empower yourself and your business and make a point to train yourself by reading through the latest updates on community, calling in to training calls, and reading/watching the buzz. I will be creating some business hours in the coming days that I will be sharing with you all. I throw my heart into my team and business and know I need to give more of that to my family and home. So...be looking for my new hours, know I am always here for you, and if you would like to chat more about anything above or what calls would be best for you to call in to....reach out to me!! XOXO
