Canavan is a brain disease that does not let nerves grow to there full potential. People with this disease cannot crawl, walk, sit, and talk. Also they have a lack of head control and over time with the disease you can and usually got seizures and paralyzed. It is not common on a certain group or diversity of people.It is a rare genetic disease.
Is it inherited?
This condition is inherited in an continuous pattern, which means both copies of the gene in each cell have mutations. The parents of an individual with an continual condition each carry one copy of the mutated gene, but they typically do not show signs and symptoms of the condition.
Can it be helped?
Usually the people with Canavan disease cant live through childhood but the diagnosis cant insure of being solved but can be helped by putting acetylaspartic acid in your urine.
