Don't Drink, You'll Stink

Negative Affects of Alcohol

Drinking too Much can Cause Brain Damage

There are a lot of things that can go wrong with the brain if you drink alcohol. Alcohol can kill brain cells, those cells cannot be restored, which makes the brain shrink. Abusing alcohol can impair memory, and dull the five senses.

Drinking can Cause Loss of Muscle Control

If you drink too much you could lose control of your muscles, which could be very dangerous if you are driving a car. You are risking your life and the life of others if you drive without muscle control. Driving under the influence of alcohol is punishable by law even if you don't cause an accident. Which is just another reason to not drink too much alcohol.

Alcohol can Cause Damage to the Liver

If you abuse alcohol there are a couple serious diseases that can affect your liver. One of those is cirrhosis which is caused by alcohol abuse. Cirrhosis is when your liver grows scar tissues instead of healthy liver cells. Cirrhosis can eventually lead to liver cancer which is deadly. As of 2008, liver cancer is the third leading cause of cancer death at 700,000 people a year.
