Snow Pros!
Snow Removal Business
Impact
This project not only has a impact on me but on the people around me. I have learned a lot on how to start a business. It is a lot harder than it sounds and takes a lot more work. This project has impacted me because I am thinking about going to college for business. After starting this project I am now sure that that is what I am going to do. I enjoy running a business so I am exited to get a degree in business. I am also donating some of my money earned o a beast cancer charity that will help fund research about the cancer.
Facts I have learned
I have learned that it takes a capital amount of money to start a business. I thought I could just start off my business but I didnt relize I needed to buy Materials. I also learned that It is a lot more easy to snow blow than shovel. I thought It would be faster to shovel but when there is over about 2 inches of snow, It is way faster to snow blow. Lastly I learned from the charity that every one in 8 american women will have breast cancer in their lifetime.
Why I chose the project
I chose this project because I have always wanted to start my own business. I am going into business in college so I wanted to see what it would be like. I also chose this project to raise money for breast cancer. My aunt had breast cancer twice so It is relevant in my life.
Challenges and the future
We were challenged because we couldn't find any customers. We put a lot of flyers out but couldn't get any calls. We eventually got a couple of neighbors to hire us and It grew from there. Our project is almost half way done. Once the snow melts we will start our lawn care business. Joe and I will make new flyers and set out into the whole new field of business.
