  • Tuesday- Test on Unit 4
  • Wednesday- Begin Unit 5 vocabulary and test corrections for Unit 4
  • Thursday- 6-1 Three as a factor
  • Friday - 6-2 Four as a factor

We have begun switching for math, so some students may be on a faster-paced math schedule. If students are in my class for math, we will be following the schedule above.

Please encourage studying math facts every night this week. We have our Math Fact Mastery time test next Friday, October 9. Some students need to study addition, subtraction, or multiplication.

Social Studies

We will continue our unit on Communities.

Writing

We are continuing our Writing Unit - Narrative Writing. We will be focusing on the traits of Ideas and Conventions (punctuation, capitalization, complete sentences). We are continuing to revise and edit our rough drafts.

Reading

Unit 1 Review week:

We will be reviewing all of the skills learned from Unit 1. We will be focusing on main idea and details; context clues, cause & effect, and sequence.

We will also be pretesting for Unit 2 throughout the week. This test will determine students' prior knowledge in skills and will provide data in forming groups. With this data, students may switch classes to best fit their individual needs.

Book Fair Volunteers Needed!

Mrs. Bowman, our librarian, is in need of two volunteers for our scheduled book fair time: Wednesday, October 7 from 7:40-8:40 AM. Please contact her via email rbowman@danville.k12.in.us if you are able to help! Thanks!

The first person to give the answer to Mrs. Cole will receive some $!
