Be The Change: Create a Legacy
As you know, in October, MST sixth grade students and teachers participated in the Be The Change event. As part of the event, students discussed how they want the teachers and younger students to remember them and what kind of legacy they want to leave for MST. They had many wonderful ideas! This spring, 6th grade students will choose a legacy project to complete. Stay tuned!

Teen Screen is a new program to RISD but has been used by other districts in our area for many years. It's a screening for social and emotional well-being. Teen Screen is a confidential, 15-minute computerized questionnaire to help identify students who may be exhibiting high risk behaviors. This year, Teen Screen is being offered free of charge, during the school day to 6th, 7th, & 9th grade students. Risk behaviors such as major depression, high anxiety, self-harm, suicide ideation, and alcohol and drug abuse can be identified so families can get help and support. Only students with signed parent permission slips on file will be screened.
