D.C. Cannon Elementary School Student of the Month
Our student of the month has the cutest smile with the biggest dimples. She is always positive to her peers and adults. She has the biggest heart and is always willing to help others in any way she can. She plays a big part in our ACE program. She helps in our garden club. (must get her talents from her grandfather who works the ACE program gardening at TMS) Thank you, parents of Rylee Page for raising a sweet, well-behaved person. She is our February student of the month. - Nancy Johns, DC Cannon ACE Site Coordinator-
D.C. Cannon Elementary School Employee of the Month
Vroom, Vroom, Vroom! Watch out for this biker! He is traveling the streets to teach ACE in the afternoons. This employee is one of the Pre-K and Kindergarten’s favorite teachers. He can be seen in the floor with students, dancing the chicken dance with them, signing and reading with them, and just acting goofy with them. You never know what to expect with him. Our students absolutely love to be in his class. Thank you, Stan Morrison, for not acting your age and working with our ACE students! This is the reason you are our employee of the month for February! - Nancy Johns, DC Cannon ACE Site Coordinator-

Ms. Mary Arnold is our A.E Butler's ACE teacher of the month. Ms. Arnold is one of our Mindworks teachers, and the class she teaches is called, “Around the World”. This class helps students explore unusual places in the world that make traveling off the beaten path so exciting. Our students really enjoy going to Ms. Arnold’s class because she makes them feel welcome. All the students are really drawn to her and we all absolutely love what a great person she is. She is always willing to learn something new and is one of the first ones to always lend a hand. We truly appreciate Ms. Arnold and all her hard work and dedication to our ACE program. Way to go, Ms. Arnold! -Jackie Arellano, Butler ACE Site Coordinator-

Running Off The Road
The students have taken their motorized vehicle outside and tested them out. They have really enjoyed learning about their cars and love how fast they go. Our students take pride in their vehicles and because of that, we have some amazing responsible students. They clean their own group vehicles, unplug their batteries with the help of Mr. Thompson and they then make sure everything is in order when they leave our ACE storage room.

ACE SPOTLIGHT: Thank you Kevin Thompson for all that you do. We are lucky to have you as a part of the FHS ACE Team!
I wanted to take a moment and comment on one of your employees. Every time you walk into the office at FHS during ACE, you will know if Kevin Thompson is working because he will greet you with a polite and happy greeting. It goes beyond him using "Sir ", he will ask how you are doing and always seems happy. He appears to thoroughly enjoy his job.
One night I entered the office on my cell phone with the parent who had called for Police assistance. I needed help finding information on a student quickly. Mr. Thompson was fast under pressure and helped me to get the information I needed. He was even thinking "outside the box" to get the information.
I just wanted to take a moment to send a little praise his way! He deserves it for the job he does and the way he represents ACE and QISD.

Ford High School Student of the Month
Nicole Eudy is the Student of the Month for Ford High School's ACE Program. Nicole is an active participant in many different ACE classes. She enjoys the cooking class, as well as, the Minecraft class. Recently, on her birthday she helped choose the menu for cooking class. The other students enjoyed celebrating Nicole's birthday with her favorite foods. She is always helpful and willing to pitch in to get the kitchen clean when others are busy. Her grades are a priority, and Nicole works hard to keep them high. She is making new friends in the ACE Program and is quickly becoming a great leader. -Tawanna Pumphrey Ford High School ACE Site Coordinator-
