Carl Jung was a Swiss Psychiatrist and Psychotherapist who was born in 1875 in Kesswil, Thurgau, Switzerland. He was the founder of many known Psychological concepts such as the archetype, the collective unconscious, the introvert and the extrovert, but he is most famous for founding Analytical Psychology.
Complex
A Complex is a core pattern of emotions, memories, perceptions, and wishes organized around a common themes such as status or power. Ex: An amputee.
The Collective Unconcious
According to Carl Jung, not only do people have their own unique unconscious mind, but also shares some elements of unconsciousness with all other people. Ex: Instincts
The Introvert and the extrovert
Jung theorizes that all people fall into two categories, the introvert and an extrovert. Jung categorized the two groups based on the ancient archetypes, Apollo and Dionysus. Introverts are typically shy or reticent. Opposite of that are the extroverts that are outgoing and over expressive of themselves.
