IMPORTANT NOTICES
From the School Nurse – If your son needs to bring medicine into school could we ask parents to ensure that it is in the original packaging from the chemist. It MUST be accompanied by a prescribed medication form with all details clearly written on it. We may refuse to give it if we are not happy.
PTA Family Fireworks Party- what did you think? - The PTA’s were grateful to all who joined them for this amazing event just before half term. A crowded field at Junior Boys enjoyed food, drink, entertainment and a fantastic fireworks display. We hope that everyone who came had a great time and in order for all who attended to give us their views on the event – we ask that YOU click on http://schl.cc/1y and complete our feedback questionnaire. Do please let us know what you think – we love to hear your views. Substantial funds were raised for the PTAs to utilise in the forthcoming year.
FROM THE HEAD'S DESK
We have been back only for two weeks and have already covered a great deal of activity. I thank the History and Music Departments for their Remembrance assembly on Monday, it focused the boys thoughts on the importance of the two minute silence.
It was pleasing to see a great number at the Year 7 Parents Evening, a very useful evening to check on the progress of the boys at the start of their journey through Senior Boys. We had an excellent crowd for the David Course Memorial match, great to see so many old boys there. The honours were evenly split with Desborough winning the 1st XV fixture and our U14 XV winning theirs.
I would recommend the talk by Paul Hay on Internet Safety to all parents. He will answer the questions that worry us all. It is at the Senior Girls site on Monday 17 November starting at 7.00pm.
As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.
John F. Kennedy

'The performance is a portrayal of the nostalgia of the era of WW1. Much of it is funny and carefree, yet behind the songs and dances the realities of war will scream at the audience. It is both a tribute to the men in the trenches and an assault on the decision makers and those who became rich from the profits of war.'
