What Happened This Week?
ELA- During this short week we were able to review our phonics skills! We had extra quality Daily 5 time to give your students more guided reading practice. We were also able to play review games to solidify the digraph, long a and i, middle, and short vowel sounds. Your students also finished their "Being Thankful" stories which is hanging on our bulletin board in the classroom!
Math- Your children love math! It's great to see their hands up, participating and figuring out the tricky problems. This week we learned how to make an addition problem to subtraction and vice versa, up to the number 12! Next week, we will finish up Unit 4 and test on Wednesday.
Social Science- Everyday we learned a little more about Thanksgiving. We learned how to draw a detailed drawing of The Mayflower, made our very own pilgrim hats, and also made Turkey table decorations for everyone in your family who is sitting at your Thanksgiving table!
Thank you to all the families who wrote a Thanksgiving letter to their child. They had a smile ear to ear as Sara and I read the letters out loud! The students loved to hear all the wonderful things you had to say!
