Welcome back from Spring Break! I hope everyone had a lovely break. Your children came back full of stories of adventures, as well as relaxation. Luckily, they also came back ready to work hard because we have a busy week ahead.

Important Dates:

Friday, April 3rd - Good Friday - No school

Monday, April 6th - Easter Monday - No school

Tuesday, April 7th - Faculty In Service - No school

Friday, April 10th, 12:30 - 1:15, McGill Chapel - Dynamic Broncos Third Grade Play

The schedule for Acolyting is listed below. Please follow this link http://www.bcponline.org/ to the online Book of Common Prayer. The psalms can be found by clicking on “The Psalter” on the left hand side of the page. Please be sure to help Psalm readers practice beforehand.

Our acolytes this week are Ty, Gus and Julia.

You will find the full Acolyte schedule attached to Weekly Update email.

Writing Workshop

This week the Dynamic Broncos will finish their second piece of Opinion Writing. Today we discussed how each student would be their own "job captain", responsible for making a work plan and meeting our deadline of having our drafts ready to be revised by Thursday. Your child will be bringing their pieces home tomorrow and Wednesday night to work on for homework. They may need your help doing some basic research, but other than this, they are in charge!

Word Study

This week we will focus on grammar and reviewing any tricky spelling words from prior word sorts. We will pick up with our next Spelling cycle next Monday.

This week we will begin our study of division. We will be discussing the link between multiplication and division and using what we know about multiplication facts to help us with division.

For tonight's homework and Thursday night's homework, students will spend at least 20 minutes practicing their multiplication facts. We learned/reviewed several games in class today to help practice these facts. Your child should have a packet in their homework folders with directions for how to access the online games and how to play the offline games.

I am attaching links to the online games that we practiced in class, as well as a link to some Schoolhouse Rock multiplication videos that we have been watching in class.

Thank You!

We have so many new books to add to our classroom library, thanks to the generous donations of many Dynamic Broncos families. Thank you so much for thinking of us when you visited the St. Andrew's Book Fair.

Happy Birthday Margaret! Thank you for letting us celebrate your birthday with you today, Monday, March 23rd.
