Roles of the President

This is the most important role of the President. This allows him to carry out the nations laws. He has several tools to influence how laws are carried out. He can give an executive order which is a rule or command that has the force of the law. He has the power to pardon someone from a punishment or crime. He also has the power to grant amnesty to a group of people.

Ex. He gave amnesty to illegal immigrants that crossed the border.
