Puppets are Coming!

Students will start planning their astronauts, aliens, or robots later this month. We will design puppets and then form heads and hands in October. I would LOVE to have some parents help us with this project. If you are interested and don't mind getting your hands a little dirty, please join us for the fun!! Email me at Elizabeth.Simmer@spps.org.

Grandparents (and special people) Day - Friday, October 2, 2015

Please plan to visit the classroom and bring your special family members on October 2nd. We'll do a little activity in the classroom as well as sing a song for everyone. Hope to see you there!

Classroom Activities

Thank you parents and families for filling out all the paper work this month! We are ready to move into October. Look for conference information soon.

Visitors from Nagasaki, Japan

On Tuesday we hosted guests from Nagasaki, Japan. Mrs. Harada was only six years old when the atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki. She told her story about the hardships her family faced. Not once did she blame the Americans. Instead she focused on promoting peace in our world. A big thank you to the students who asked thoughtful questions and listened very well during the presentation.
