"Everything Big Starts Somewhere Small" Message Resonates with Students
Caleb then met with our Avoca West student leaders (Helping Hands, Student Ambassadors, and Safety Patrol) to generate ideas of how they can, as our leaders, make a positive impact on our school and beyond!
I encourage parents to continue the conversation at home to hear what your child's takeaway from today's was. As we enter a season of giving, many of our kiddos are looking to make their mark in the world...like their new hero, Caleb!
A huge thanks to Karen Azar and Mina Boruta for working together to bring Caleb to our students. We are so lucky to have such advocates for building mindfulness in our students.

Empowering and engaging our youngest!
Looking to give back? Here are a couple of ideas!
Calling all Box Tops! Did you know that each Box Top can give up to 10 cents back to Avoca. That may not sound like a lot, but things add up quickly...and go right back into the classroom! During the month of October, we will be having a Box Top Challenge. The classroom that collects the most Box Tops will win the chance to wear PJs all day November 1st -- a worthy prize after many of our kiddos will be out the evening before gathering goodies!
