Customer Service

December 2014

Thank you

As we enter this holiday season I wanted to take a moment and thank you all for everything you do. It is a privilege to work with each and every one of you. Thank you for the patience, kindness, commitment, and hard work that you demonstrate each and every day. You make a difference to our students, teachers, administrators, parents, community members... our customers!!

So enjoy your holidays!! Put your feet up!! Laugh alot!! You deserve it!!

How many times have you answered the phone only to hear, " I have been transferred 5 times and no one can give me an answer to my question", which is then usually followed with 10 minutes of venting.

Two words in the definition of consistency can make Customer Service not just good but great. Unchanging and Steady.

What would it be like if no matter where a parent, community member, student, teacher called they were directed to the right person the first time?

What would it be like if our "customers" were greeted the same no matter who was in the seat in the front office, other departments, or even what school they were at?

What would it be like if consistent messages were used for cell phone issues, attendance issues?

The questions could go on and on. The answer is that our customers would see that we are unchanging, steady, consistent and we would build trust with them.

My challenge to you over the next month is to talk as a team and discuss ways that you can create consistency in your every day interactions with parents, students, community members, teachers... our customers. Be prepared to share your ideas at the end of January so that we can create consistency as a high school team.

In the meantime take a moment to watch the video below and read the articles attached.
