Math, Science, and Social Studies
Math
Decimals- We will end our decimal unit this week with several lessons over money represented in decimal form. We will have shortened classes due to testing, but I plan to end the unit on Wednesday. We will continue on with Geometry and also begin our final module on US customary measurement. There will be no homework this week.
Geometry-This week we will decompose angles using pattern blocks. We will also use the addition of adjacent angle measures to solve problems using a symbol for the unknown angle measure.
Science-In preparing for testing this week, we did not complete our lesson on series and parallel batteries last week. We will complete that lesson this week and work on placing a switch within our series and test insulators and conductors of electricity.

Reading: We will continue our class read aloud this week: Tales of a 4th Grade Nothing by Judy Blume. We will also wrap up our Author Project. All Book Projects are due by Thursday! Students have been presenting Book Talks and have done a wonderful job!! Our final book talks will be on Thursday.
There IS fluency homework coming home for this week!
