Native American iMovie Project

After spending the first six weeks of school learning about Native Americans, this week students will be creating an iMovie on a tribe of their choice.

Students will create a short iMovie that documents the culture and the life of a major Native American tribe in the Pre-Columbian America. Students will find pictures that relate to their tribe, add text to narrate the picture, and present the pictures in documentary form using iMovie on their iPad.

Work will primarily be done at school for those with limited internet access at home, but students are free to work on it outside of school. The project is due Friday, September 23.

Classroom Marble Jar

Students are currently working toward filling up our classroom marble jar! Students may earn marbles by getting compliments from other staff members, lining up quietly, coming into the room quietly after recess, keeping the classroom tidy, walking quietly in the hallways, staying on task during independent work time, and any other time the whole class is making good choices. Students will vote in the morning on what the reward will be. Be sure to ask your child tomorrow what they are working towards earning! A few things on the ballot are: extra recess, movie and snacks, and a no test Friday.
