North Korea
Welcome to hell part 2
North Korean Government
Leaders name: Kim Jong Un
North Korea likes to refer to themselves as the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. In reality they are not a democracy at all and call themselves this to further their communist agenda. They hold "elections" but these elections are 100% controlled by the people in charge. This is how Kim Jong-il and now his son Kim Jong Un has stayed in power for so long.
Economy
Level of Development: Tertiary (developing)
Because of North Koreas harsh dictatorship/communist rule it is hard for North Korea to keep developing with out the input and ideas of the people.
GDP: 28 billion (US dollars)
Per Capita: 1,800 (US dollars)
North Koreas GDP and Per Capita show that it is still a developing country. Compared to the US (Developed) North Korea's GDP is almost 100 times smaller than the US.
Currency: Won
Top Export(s): minerals, metallurgical products (4 billion)
Top Import(s): petroleum, coking coal (4.6 billion)
Their exports are raw materials which shows there underdevelopment.
It is understood that North Korea's poverty level is very high, unfortunately because of their communist ways, they refuse to provide a percentage for poverty.
